A few weeks I stumbled onto a cool little project by the genius behind the Perry Bible Fellowship. He made a Wes Anderson movie soundtrack to a movie that has never been made. Dope idea, and executed pretty damn well too. You can stream it at the link.
Then a few days ago, I decided to watch ‘The Brothers Bloom’. A quirky, jewel heist type-a flick with Mark Ruffalo, Adrian Brody and Rachel Weisz. Now quirk is one thing. Plenty of movies have that. But the influence is super obvious in ‘The Brothers Bloom’. Embarassingly so. I guess the argument could be made that the director is influenced by the same guys Anderson is influenced by but… I don’t buy it. And I won’t. Except for the 5 bucks I already spent OnDemanding it. Drat.
Just put the tumblr app on the touch so I might could start using this more. But you guys are the only ones that follow me on here. I suppose posts like this aren’t helping my case any. Grumble grumble raggin fraggin…
