For volume 1, it is watching an episode, or a whole series of a show and then going to AV Club’s TV Club and reading the in-depth analysis of the episodes as a companion piece. I’m diggin this. It’s like watching the episode over again. You can relive some of the best moments and get some insights you may not have picked up on when you last saw it. Just be careful, sometimes they slip in spoilers without really meaning to.

A few weeks I stumbled onto a cool little project by the genius behind the Perry Bible Fellowship. He made a Wes Anderson movie soundtrack to a movie that has never been made. Dope idea, and executed pretty damn well too. You can stream it at the link.

Then a few days ago, I decided to watch ‘The Brothers Bloom’. A quirky, jewel heist type-a flick with Mark Ruffalo, Adrian Brody and Rachel Weisz. Now quirk is one thing. Plenty of movies have that. But the influence is super obvious in ‘The Brothers Bloom’. Embarassingly so. I guess the argument could be made that the director is influenced by the same guys Anderson is influenced by but… I don’t buy it. And I won’t. Except for the 5 bucks I already spent OnDemanding it. Drat.
